Prof. Nebojsa Bacanin received the Ph.D. degree from the Faculty of Mathematics, University of Belgrade, in 2015 (study program computer science, average grade 10,00). He started his university career in Serbia 15 years ago with the Graduate School of Computer Science, Belgrade. He is currently working as an Associate Professor and as a Vice-Rector of scientific research with Singidunum University, Belgrade, Serbia. He is involved in scientific research in the field of computer science, and his specialty includes stochastic optimization algorithms, swarm intelligence, soft computing and optimization and modeling, artificial intelligence algorithms, swarm intelligence, machine learning, image processing, and cloud and distributed computing. He has published more than 170 scientific papers in high-quality journals and international conferences indexed in Clarivate Analytics JCR, Scopus, WoS, IEEExplore, and other scientific databases, as well as in Springer and Procedia Computer Science book chapters. He has also published four books on the domains of cloud computing, web programming, and advanced Java spring programming. He is also a member of numerous editorial boards and scientific and advisory committees of international conferences and journals. He is also a regular reviewer for international journals with high Clarivate Analytics and WoS impact factors. He actively participates in one national and one international project in the domain of computer science. He has also been included in the prestigious Stanford University single year list with 2% of best world researchers in 2020 and 2021.
